Superstar’s Rajinikanth movies are made to be shattered the Box Office records. His upcoming film, 2.0 aka Enthiran 2 has created sorts of records in the Box Office. The Satellite rights of the Tamil superstar have been sold for the never-before price.
According to the reports, the Zee TV Network has brought the satellite rights of the film’s Hindi, Telugu, Tamil versions for an astronomical price, pegged at Rs 110 Crore. However, neither the makers nor the channels had made any formal announcement of the deal. If the reports to be believed, it’s the highest paid satellite rights for any regional film.
Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Enthiran 2 is set to beat the record of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2, which is to be estimated to have made about Rs 100 Crore from the sale of satellite rights.
However, the satellite rights of Baahubali 2 for Hindi (Rs 51 Crore) and Telugu (Rs 26 Crore) were sold for fancy amounts. The Tamil and Malayalam versions are estimated to be Rs 20 Crore.
Creative Head of Lyca Productions Raju Mahalingam confirmed the news that the filmmakers have partnered with Zee TV networks but did not reveal the details of the deal.
2.0 is being India’s one of the most expensive films and Second Costlier films in Asia. The film is made at a whopping budget Rs 400 Crore using the state-art-technology. Adding to the fan frenzy around the film, the makers have also cast Bollywood star Akshay Kumar as the main antagonist.
