Indian Air force services conduct an examination of Air Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT 2017 released the notification on 2nd December 2016. However, interested candidates can apply for the same from 3rd December 2016.
The AFCAT & EKT exam will be conducted on 26th February 2017. Both men & women can apply for the job.
Branches included in the Air Force Exam are Technical, Ground Duty & Flying branches.
Training will be conducted for all the branches. The time duration of training for flying & technical branches is 74 weeks. Whereas, that of ground duty branches is 52 weeks.
Monthly salary for Flying branch is 80,050/- , Technical is 71,550 & that of Ground Duty Branches is 68,550/-.

Age limit for the candidates applying for the flying branch is from 20 to 24. On the other hand, both for the technical & Ground duty branches is from 20 to 26 years.
Selection procedure of AFCAT 2017 consists of written test, Screening test, Verification of documents for eligibility criteria, Group test & then the P.I. (Personal interview).
The selection procedure comprises of two stages:
Stage 1 comprises of written exam & Screening test whereas Stage 2 consists of the Psychological test, Group test & P.I.
Written examination consists of 100 questions and the time duration are 2 hrs. Here, the paper consists of four sections: General Awareness, English, Aptitude & Reasoning. One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates qualified in the first round shall be moved to the next round. Engineering Knowledge Test is for testing the basic knowledge on engineering subjects.
