‘Balika Vadhu’ famed actress Pratyusha Banerjee commits suicide

TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, famous for playing the role of grown up Anandi in the drama show Balika Vadhu, was found dead at her Mumbai residence on Friday, allegedly committed suicide, according to local police.

She was just 24 years old, a young girl with such talent which made her a household name due to her personality and brilliant acting skills as she took the character of Anandi to new heights.

Pratyusha’s body was found hanging with the ceiling fan at her flat and she was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital where she succumbed. The news was confirmed. The hospital has sent a report on the Jamshedpur-born actress’s death, says the Mumbai police spokesperson, Dhananjay Kulkarni.

Police investigated to find out the possible cause behind the extreme step of the actress and it was found out that it was due to the relationship issues with her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh. Her last status message on Whatsapp read, “Marke bhi muh na tuzse modana” (even after death would not be turning my face away from you) with a smiley emoticon.

The revelations and the news of her death left the fellow co-stars and colleagues in shock. No one believed that Pratyusha is no longer in this world, it was hard to digest the truth as she had such a lively personality. Further investigation will only tell what actually happened and how this sad story unfolds with the events which lead to the sudden demise of a young TV actress.
