Dead animal remains discovered from Delhi’s Karol Bagh

The dismembered parts of an animal were noticed by the RSS volunteers while performing their routine ‘shakha’ on Friday morning at a park located near to Kishanaganj railway colony as reported by the local RSS leader Vagish Issar.

This incident has lead to a tensed atmosphere in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area. The animal parts were claimed to be that of a cow.

Police reached the spot soon after the incident was reported and requested people to maintain peace and avoid spreading any sort of rumor before the speculations were carried out.

The Police have refused to provide any statement about the incident and avoided any interaction considering the case to be sensitive and it demanded an investigation to provide any statement.

The animal parts were taken into possession by the Police which was then sent away for analysis.  A case has been registered and the investigation has been taken up, said a senior police officer.

Cops from central and north districts were sent to the spot and the situation was “peaceful” although people were “apprehensive” of the incident, said the officer.

DCP (central) Parmaditya said, “Sufficient police personnel has been deployed in the area. We have also appealed to the citizens to maintain peace and harmony in the area and not to pay heed to rumours. A FIR has been registered against unidentified persons and investigation is on.”

This is third such incident in past few months,” said Issar.

The RSS volunteers said that recurrence of such incidents in the area was feared by them to be an attempt to disturb communal harmony.

In a case earlier, two men identified as Hafiz Abdul Khalid, 25, and Ali Hassan, 35, were beaten a day after Eid in outer Delhi’s Kirari village on Wednesday when they were on their way to dump the remains of animals, sacrificed in their madrasa in Outer Delhi on the September 12.
