So, here is the list of foods that act as painkillers and the good news is- it has no side effects!

  • Turmeric

The yellow color ingredient of turmeric is due to the spice curcumin. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties which proved to be more beneficial compared to antibiotics. It is more effective in alleviating joint and swelling muscular pains.

Dosage: In milk or turmeric tea

  • Ginger

Ginger contains Ginger oil, a substance with high medicinal properties. The anti-inflammatory properties present in the ginger can alleviate pain from nausea, arthritis, stomach pain, menstrual pain and even muscular soreness. The rhizome of the ginger plant can be consumed fresh, dried, powdered or even in the form of juice.

Dosage: Apply ginger compress in the area of pain.

  • Red grapes

Although, it’s not the popular one, but it contains an antioxidant compound called resveratrol that gives the red color. Resveratrol helps in maintaining cartilage health and prevents back and joint pain.

  • Peppermint
