On Friday, Mukesh Ambani has announced that the Jio Prime Membership has been extended by 15 days and has notched an unprecedented 72 million paid customers.
The Jio Company, whose free promotional offer came to an end by 31st March, also had a complimentary announcement offer for three months for those who paid Rs 303 plan prior to April 15.
Considering the unprecedented demand, the deadline for purchasing the Rs 303 plan (Jio Prime Membership offer) has been extended to April 15.
‘This extension will provide a breathing room for customers to avoid service disruption during the transition from free to paid users. Customers who failed to enroll their names in the Jio Prime Membership for whatever reason can apply for the same by paying Rs 99 for membership, along with April 1st week Rs 303 plan and other plans till April 15’.
Mukesh Ambani sent a letter to customers,“Every JIO PRIME member – when they make their first paid recharge prior to 15th April using Jio’s Rs 303 plan (or any higher value plan) – will get services for the initial three months on a complimentary basis. Your paid tariff plan will be applied only in July, after the expiry of the complimentary service,”
Jio has created the world’s largest greenfield 4G LTE wireless broadband network, with over 100,000 mobile towers. After that, it will add 100,000 towers to our network in the coming months.
“This greenfield investment of over Rs 200,000 crores is the largest anywhere in the world,” Ambani, who is India’s richest man, said.
