Melbourne woman went as flower girl in her granddaughter wedding!

A 92-year old Melbourne lady proved that age has no bar for being a flower girl after she served an important duty at her granddaughter’s wedding.

Grandmother Alison Walter said that she had no choice rather than expecting the honor approached by her 27-year-old granddaughter Kerri Walter to take part in the big day at Nathania Springs Receptions in Monbulk on Friday.

Kerrin Walter came with a bouquet of flowers and with a lovely card and it was the one being honored as the flower girl.

“How can I refuse that? First of all, I was apparently so surprised of this honor. But, at the end of the day; I was the beautiful flower girl in the world

“She was beautiful inside as well as outside.”

“I wouldn’t want some other girl should walk to my husband. I need something old, something borrowed, something blue and my nanna is my something old.”

Undoubtedly, the grandmother is no stranger to weddings. She had previously served as mother-of-the-bride six times, as well as a bridesmaid, matron of honor and bride herself.

Mrs. Walter has seven children of her own, with 12 grandchildren.
