Two days had passed since Balika Vadhu famed actress Pratyusha Banerjee was found dead at her residence in Mumbai, her boyfriend Rahul Raj was reportedly admitted to hospital after he complained about problems in breathing just before the second day of police interrogation regarding the said case.
Rahul, who is a TV producer by profession, was taken to a nearby hospital situated in the suburbs of Kandivali named Shree Sai Hospital after complaining of severe chest pain and a fit of depression.
“Rahul has been admitted to ICU. His condition is very fragile. He hasn’t eaten. He is in a state of depression after Pratyusha’s death. The doctors say if this continues, he will have brain haemorrhage,” his lawyer Neeraj Gupta said.
24 year old actress who caught everyone’s eye with her acting skills in the hit TV Serial named “Balika Vadhu” playing the lead role named “Anandi” was found hanging with her ceiling fan on 1st of April, which look like a case of suicide.
However, the precise reason behind such extreme step is yet to be found. According to close friends, Pratyusha was constantly facing problems in her relationship, which could be the reason behind such sad outcome.
The common friends of Pratyusha and Rahul told police that the couple was planning to get married on April 4th probably which signifies New Year in Bengali traditions.
Rahul’s father Harshvardhan spoke about money troubles and loan of Rs 50 lacs which was taken by Pratyusha to sort the financial problems out for her parents.
“Pratyusha had come to Ranchi. She told me she wanted to get married to Rahul… Pratyusha had said she wanted to file a case against her parents. She never had any bank account. It was a joint account and her money was being handled by her parents,” Harshvardhan told reporters.
“All her money was taken by her parents. She had taken loan for more than Rs 50 lakh for her parents. She was under pressure because of this. Financiers used to call her. I used to send money to Pratyusha, sometimes Rs 10,000. If she was earning well then why did she go bankrupt.”
