Priority would be retaining Punjab’s lost glory, says Manpreet Singh


On Thursday, the newly inducted Cabinet Minister Manpreet Singh said that the priority of the Amarinder Singh – Congress Government will be restoring the lost glory of the state.

“All we want is for restoring Punjab’s lost glory”, said by Manpreet, the nephew of Ex-Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal told the reporters, just after he took oath as Cabinet Minister.

In 2007, Manpreet had been served as the Finance Minister in the SAD-BJP government. He said that the Congress government’s priority would be, ‘to bring the state’s economy that has been completely devastated under the SAD-BJP government regime, bring it back on track!’

‘We need to bring the state growth and development back on track.’

Cabinet Minister also informed that some of the lopsided policies of the SAD-BJP government are left undone by the Congress government.

Cabinet Minister  mentions, “There are many things which are left undone. It’s our duty to bring Punjab’s lost glory. When I was a boy, there used to be a spring in our step as Punjab was right to present at the top. We need to restore it.”

Manpreet Singh who won from Bathinda-Urban Assembly Constituency said that there’s need an improvement in a lot of farmers, urban development to improve the infrastructure, education, and health. These are some of the areas where the government should presently focus on!

He also mentions to improve the capital income of people and will generate new avenues of employment.

Manpreet also said the Congress government for the eradication of drug menace in our State.

“We are also committed to ending the VIP culture.”

Amarinder Singh was sworn as the 26th Chief Minister of Punjab, along with nine other ministers, including Navjot Singh Sidhu and Manpreet Singh.
