The bodyguard who inspired Salman Khan to make a movie on is under major circumstances. Shera, the bodyguard, has been booked for an assault by one of his acquaintances residing in D.N. Nagar in suburban Delhi.
The incident took place last night after Shera got into a scuffle with one Attar Umar Qureshi on Link road, with whom he also had a heated argument earlier over the phone, senior police inspector Dhanaji Nalawade of DN Nagar police station said.
According to the spokesperson, the complainant alleged that Shera hit him with a baton and fled from the spot.
The DN Nagar police is searching for Shera. The police said the fight was the outcome of a quarrel which started after Shera and the complainant abused each other.
Around 2.30 AM, Qureshi and two of his friends were travelling in an Audi when they noticed Shera near his car at Indian Oil Nagar. Qureshi’s acquaintance, one Ajay, wanted to speak to Shera on phone.
“Qureshi handed over the phone to Shera who had an argument with Ajay. After the phone call ended, Shera allegedly hit Qureshi with the butt of his pistol. Shera’s aides then allegedly attacked Qureshi with an iron rod. He has received an injury to his collar bone and has been hospitalised,” said the DN Nagar police official.
AS a result, the victim approached the police station and lodged an F.I.R. after which Shera was booked under section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 326 of the IPC, 506 of the IPC for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapon and criminal intimidation, the inspector said.
The police said they are trying to verify the authenticity of the incident and will go through CCTV footage of the crime scene. Shera’s statement is being recorded.
Shera has been Salman Khan’s close bodyguard who is treated as a family member. He has been mostly seen protecting Salman in every possible way.
