LYF handsets catch, J&K CM expresses concern
The reports about Samsung Galaxy handsets catching fire have not yet died and a new case has arisen. In a fresh incident reported a Reliance Jio LYF mobile phone caught fire. This news has brought the Mukesh Ambani, led Reliance Jio in a bad light. People have started raising questions about the safety features of the device.
On Sunday 6 November 2016 evening, a man named Tanvir Sadiq tweeted that how the Jio’s LYF phone burst and went up in a fire. He also tweeted that how the family experienced a close shave. Tanvir added a photo of a fully burnt LYF phone. Had any unforeseen incident taken place, it would have proved drastic for LYF and Jio. The event took a serious turn when J&K CM, Omar Abdullah retweeted the post and expressed the same concern.

He also took the opportunity to thank God because an unpleasant situation was avoided and Tanvir’s family was safe and sound.
The LYF India’s authorities didn’t take long in keeping their point. The officials of LYF stated that each and every LYF phone undergoes rigorous safety checks. They further added that they are committed to consumer safety and will not let any discrepancy remain in any of their product. They stated that customer safety is their paramount.
The burst and blast in the phones are nothing new. Earlier also many incidents have been reported about blasts in smartphones. The previous Samsung Galaxy blasts have created a scare among the users and many airlines companies have blacklisted many device models owing to safety concerns.
